There’s poetry in gunshots
that only the brave can hear,
but even heroes know when to get scared.
Free speech is for the living
dead men tell no tales
a slip of the tongue
a slit of the throat
another drop of wine for courage
in a world filled with chaos and conflict.
There’s poetry in gunshots
that only the brave can hear
Paying the price of freedom for other men
Life is more than just a dream
but how far ahead can we see?
Red, the blood of angry men
Screaming revolution
In this eternal Damnation
Mon dieu! it’s a Damned evolution!
There’s poetry in gunshots
that only the brave can hear,
And I hear them loud and clear.
