Our Pop-Up Arts & Crafts Fair in Words & in Pictures

On October 9 & 10, the Canal West Mall Lekki was agog with the sounds, sights and tastes of Pop-Up, Kurating’s maiden Arts and Crafts fair. The fair, themed, “the way you are”, featured pictures, paintings, food and music from brilliant Nigerian artists. It was aimed at creating a relaxing environment for art lovers and collectors to celebrate and exchange art while addressing contemporary societal issues using art as the medium. The two-day event featured the following artists and their works:

Abdulazeez Ganiat with “The Old Lantern”, “Omoluabi”, “Self-Love”, “End Racism”

Adeduro Oluwateniola, with “Love ^ Loath”, “Lisztomania” and two untitled works

 Adekile Mayowa, with “Freedom”, “Not Limited I” and “Not Limited II”

Anthonia Ndukauba,with “Hair my Identity”, “Holding on to Confidence”, “Soul Search”, “When Silence Speaks”, “Black Lives Matter”

Ene Jessica, with “Ekaette”, “Akpan”, “Iyak Iba”

Francis Oshorenoya David with “My Look”, “Self Love 2”, “Man Standing Tall” and “Self Love”

Olaniyi Omotayo with “Ofure”, “Black Pride”, “In her dignity”, “Dreamer”, “Stronger together”

Seidougha Linus Eyimegha, with “Passenger”, “Go Slow”, “Educated Agbero”, “Agbero”

Tejiri Esewhaye, with “Like flying birds, time also has wings”

Usoro Iniobong Daniel with “Memories”, “Child of fire”, “Heart of Africa”, “Harn”, “Tuareg Man”

The event was held in partnership with the Canal West Mall, a thriving center for trade and relaxation located in Lekki, Lagos, and Jesam Obono, an arts Curator. Check out sights from the event below:
